ADVENTURE CLUB APPLICATION
Hello! This is the Adventure Club application for folks who have not taken & completed the core curriculum of our training program. We’re happy you’re applying. We have two important things for you to know before applying.
Adventure Club is an extension of our training program, and teams will be directed and coached according to our overall philosophy and approach to improv comedy. A big part of our mission is to provide consistent and high quality improv experiences, and for us that means remaining firm to our overall philosophy and approach. We ask that you only apply if you are willing to allow the director/coach to be the director/coach!
For this first season of Adventure Club, teams will be assembled mostly based on availability of directors and performers. So, this means we are not necessarily planning to take performer experience or preferences into consideration and we can't guarantee that people will be on teams of equal experience / proficiency.
We completely understand that not everyone will want to agree to those terms! That's fine. We would love to see an even more robust improv scene in Buffalo and encourage you to do your own thing if this is not exactly what you want. Starting your own thing -- or finding your own group to play with -- will not jeopardize your ability to participate in our things in the future. So, please only apply if Adventure Club sounds fun to you.
