Learn the fundamentals of improv comedy in a fun, well-paced setting. This class covers foundational concepts such as agreement, scene initiations, improv mechanics, and the basic rules of funny improv scenes. Designed for beginners and also for experienced improvisers.

Each improv scene grows from an initiation. While there are an infinite number of ways that a scene can play out, there are some best practices that set players up for fun and successful scenes. This course teaches these best practices.

Prerequisite: Our Improv Basics class or equivalent class from an approved institution

Performing fun improv shows involves committing to your own choices, honoring the choices made by your teammates, and identifying and heightening the funny ideas that are central to each scene. This 8-week class focuses on these skills.

Prerequisite: Our Improv Scenework Course

Learn the magic that is created by blending improv & music! You’ll learn the song structures needed to put your comedic ideas to song.
